1. Beginning School
Students and parents are welcomed into our community. They begin their journey with a tour of the school with the Principal and student leaders. Later in the year they attend information evenings. Students attend informal play morning and then formal orientation sessions whilst parents attend information sessions about the curriculum and readiness for school. Students are invited to attend Prep Graduation to be welcomed into the parish school community.
2. Secondary school Transition
Students in Year 6 undertake a program of independence building activities in order to prepare them for secondary school. Representatives from the secondary schools come to visit the students and the students have opportunities for orientation visits at their prospective schools.
3. Year to Year
Before the close of term four, students meet their prospective teacher and classmates; they spend some time together participating in friendship building activities which prepare them for the following academic year.
